best way to suggest correction?

Post by williamcopper »

Simple new user question: what is the best or most acceptable way to suggest a probable error in a cpdl score?

Thanks,
William

Hello William, welcome to CPDL. There are various ways for doing it, depending on your ability to edit a wiki:

1) The simplest way is to describe the probable error here in the forums, informing the page title and edition number (if there is more than one edition). An admin or another volunteer will eventually edit the page, adding a warning to it (but this may take some time!).
2) Alternatively, you may want to try editing the wiki yourself, it's quite simple: just register to the wiki (if you haven't yet), go to the page, click on the edit tab on the top of the page and add the following code in front of the "Edition notes:" line:

{{ScoreError| description of the errors found }}

(replace the text in italics with your own description.)
After that, click on Preview and, if everything is correct, save the changes.

If you need a corrected PDF or want to discuss with the editor about the error, you may try to contact him/her directly: click on their name and check on their user page if they have informed an email or website for contact.

Thank you!
