Interpretation CPDL score of Bach's Quia Fecit

Post by amindthatsuits »

In the voice/piano score of Quia Fecit Mihi Magna from JS. Bach's Magnificat (No.4), on the third page there is a place where the voice and piano scores separate. I would just sing over the piano part, except that suddenly there appears a treble clef sign and three beats I cannot account for.

Is this accurate? I do not have it in front of me, but I think it is around measure 15.

Thank you.

I see the place you mean - yes, the score appears completely corrupt for a couple of bars at this point. Exactly the same problem occurs in the same editor's full orchestral version.

You might be best looking at the original BGA version, available either at http://imslp.org/wiki/Main_Page or on Vince Ho's complete Bach site (http://bach-gesellschaft.cygoth.com/BGA.html).
