How would I go about getting this piece of music? It's not on the internet, how would I find it in a shop or Library

Re: Ciacona di Paradiso et dell´Inferno- Anonymous
There is a "Ciaccona del Paradiso e del Inferno" performed/recorded by L'Arpeggiata with Christina Pluhar. Is this the one you're looking for?

Nice music, by the way! Love these old dance movements.
This specific ciaccona bears a striking similitude to Monteverdi's "Zefiro torna":

Thanks for the YouTube link. Excellent. Does anyone know of similar music arranged SATB, or for two or three parts? I don't know where to start looking.
Hope you find the sheet music DeCapo, and good luck for your concert.

Most of the music in this style is for instruments (typically two violins and basso continuo).Does anyone know of similar music arranged SATB, or for two or three parts?
Here is a decent example:

The piece is from the anonymous collection Canzonette Spirituali e Morali, printed in Milan in c.1657, a late-ish printing of songs for 1 to 3 voices in alfabeto notation.

This particular Chaconne can be found in several sources, so I would not dare to ascribe it to Monteverdi (themes for variations were a common good in the 16th century, like "La Monica", "La Romanesca" (aka "Greensleeves"), "La Follia" etc.).This specific ciaccona bears a striking similitude to Monteverdi's "Zefiro torna"
A similar chaconne can also be found in "Es steh Gott auf" by Heinrich Schuetz (Symphoniae Sacrae). The Chaconne at the end of this beautiful piece is closely related to the chaconne in question, and it has also been used by Monteverdi ("Zefiro torna") or Merula (the Chaconne on the CD "Viaggio Musicale" by "Il Giardino Armonico"). The beginning of "Es steh Gott auf" is a parody (i.e., a highly artistic rewriting and transformation into a different context) on "Armato il Cor" by Monteverdi.

Einstein's additions to Vogel say the libraries that have it are: Bibliothèque, Conservatoire Royal de la Musique, Brussels; University Library, Glasgow, United Kingdom; and "Reggio (B. Municipale)" (don't know what city this refers to, exactly). The piece is from the anonymous collection Canzonette Spirituali e Morali, printed in Milan in c.1657, a late-ish printing of songs for 1 to 3 voices in alfabeto notation.

The Italian OPAC reports it with the full title:agarvin wrote:and "Reggio (B. Municipale)" (don't know what city this refers to, exactly).
Two copies are reported: one at the Biblioteca municipale (municipal library) Antonio Panizzi of Reggio Emilia (not far away from Bologna); and one at the Biblioteca civica (civic library) Angelo Mai of Bergamo (not far away from Milan).Spritual and moral songs that are sung in the Oratory of Chiavenna, built under the protection of St. Filippo Neri. Arranged to sing with 1,2,3 voices at will with guitar letters above popular and new arias published for the spiritual entertainment of all persons

If you are looking for the sheet music, I've made a transcription of the ciaccona, as close as possible of L'arpeggiata interpretation. Later I added two violin parts which are mine (I prepared an arrangement intended for my pupils) but the voices and the continuo are exactly the same you can hear at the L'arpeggiata CD.
The score is available for purchase at http://www.scoreexchange.com/scores/167480.html
Hope this helps.
