There are ten places left on the 2009 Wells Tudor Music Course, directed by Richard Smith with guest tutors including Alistair Dixon (director, Chapelle du Roi). The places are available to altos, tenors and basses. Sopranos wishing to attend are encouraged to contact Richard Smith on director@liturgicalmusic.co.uk as places occasionally become available through cancellations.
The course will run from 18th-23rd October, and will focus on the music of composers working in the later Tudor period. The choir will be singing four services of Choral Evensong and a lunchtime concert in Wells Cathedral. Scores & rehearsal CDs will be sent out several weeks before the start of the course.
The course is open to all experienced choral singers with some sight-reading skills.
