mildly curious about "Captain Nemo"

Post by dwsolo »

Shortly after putting up a piece on cpdl I got a nasty email relating to it from some individual calling himself Captain Nemo, hiding behind a non-existent email address which appears to have originated from Russia (despite having a German Yahoo fictitious address).
I'm just curious to know whether enyone else has received such missives?
If not, I'll simply ignore it and relegate "him" to the unsolicited email list.

Hi David,

the same person presumably registered here at the CPDL forums as "simius", as the email registered is captain1945nemo@yahoo.de - replying to the user using the messaging feature possibly may reach him.

If the message you received was offensive (i.e. beyond being merely "nasty") then please let me know and I'll delete the user account.

Hi Philip
Yes it was offensive. (I won't bother trying to contact him through the messaging service since he is obviously hiding behind false email addresses and is therefore beneath contempt).
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards
David

Hi David,

quite! Captain Nemo has been deleted - if I see any more from this accounts from this person they'll likewise be sent to Davy Jones' locker...

Best, Philip
