Re: Dating of subsequent editions.

I see what you mean: changing the date causes No. 18 https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Ecce_panis_angelorum_(Giovanni_Croce)#General_Information to disappear from MultiPubList. The template page is probably on Barry's watchlist: https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Template_talk:MultiPubList#Dating...

Re: Schubert & CheckMissing

Today the behavior of the 2 versions in the history is different, but I'll keep the null edit trick in mind. I'm reminded of an amusing item I once came across in the physics library called the Journal of Unreproducible Results.

Schubert & CheckMissing

The Franz Schubert page http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Franz_Schubert is in need of updating, but I'm terribly puzzled by the different output of Template:CheckMissing after I removed Recent_additions (i.e. my 2 edits of Sept 7: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?title=Franz_Schubert&action=...

Re: error message with addworks

Don't the new and old processes both involve filling out the same form? Now instead of one set of instructions there are 3 different ways (from the composer page, from the work page, from a different composer page) to get to 'step 2' with various amounts of information pre-filled-in, which is more c...

Re: error message with addworks

Don't the new and old processes both involve filling out the same form? Now instead of one set of instructions there are 3 different ways to get to 'step 2' with various amounts of information pre-filled-in, which is more confusing instead of less. I'm afraid I still don't understand what is being p...

Re: error message with addworks

Great, I've started to fiddle with [[Help:Automated_add_score_process]]. I'm not sure what happens when one fills in a new composer name: does it appear in black with a blue superscript prompt to create a composer page? Or should there be a Form:New composer pointer? Can the nutshell process at the ...

Re: error message with addworks

Glad to chip in as I'm able, Max, but I don't even know what the old process is anymore. Better than a deadline might be simply labeling out of date documentation with pointers to whatever the current process is supposed to be. Would I be able to help figure this out by looking at help-page historie...

Re: error message with addworks

Sorry; I did indeed introduce a new topic. The left side menu is an example of yet another fork: the "Add scores to CPDL" link points to [[ChoralWiki:Add Music]], a redirect to [[Help:Automated add score process]]. On the Main page, "Volunteer at CPDL/Add scores" points instead t...

Re: error message with addworks

Sorry: to be clearer, I mean that after I logged back in I couldn't remember how to again find the form and had to run quite a maze. After typing AddWorkForm and Add work, I returned to the main page, clicked "Add work", scrolled to "Add Choral/Solo Vocal Work, or New Edition" wh...

Re: error message with addworks

Hi Max,

Thanks for the explanation. I logged out and am back in business, after figuring out that I didn't really want AddWorkForm or Form:Add work. The Help:Score submission guide really could use rewriting, it seems.

error message with addworks

For several days I've been seeing this: [XuCu84qolXOdTlDxub2LUAAAAMU] /wiki/index.php/AddWorkCode Error from line 322 of /home/choralwi/public_html/wiki/extensions/ChoralWiki/CreateAddWorkCode.php: Call to a member function isKnown() on null Backtrace: #0 /home/choralwi/public_html/wiki/includes/Hoo...

Collaborative works & publications

I'm wondering how to list the composers of a mass cycle by various hands: perhaps [[Mass for 2 voices (Florentine school, F Pn 568)]] with Gheradello, ser Lorenço and anonymous contributors sharing a common composer page that's identical to the 'publication' page. One precedent I'm aware of is http:...

Re: Texts only

Category Text pages http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Text_pages has examples of text only pages; these are mostly for texts shared among several works. While I agree with User:Bobnotts about the primary aim, CPDL is under construction, and I've made an edition-less page myself at http://w...

Re: Multiple voicings with different number of voices

I find myself objecting to the conjunction "and" and have sometimes replaced Template:Multivoicing to obtain "or". Rakastava (Jean Sibelius) is a piece that exists in 2 different versions, so "TTBB and SATB" does seem appropriate in such cases. I still don't know exactl...
