Re: Error when logging out

Thank you for your notification. This should be fixed now. It was not a real bug: it was a specific situation related to the switching from the contributor website (when logged-in) to a visitor website (after logout), with the logout token issued by the contributor website not being known by the vis...

Re: AddWork Form

How many hours is "several"? Two hours didn't do the trick. We use the MediaWiki software (the same software used by Wikipedia), and it makes use of a rather complex, multi-layered cache policy. I think that 12 hours may be a good estimate of the typical cache duration. Your composer page...

No, please don't. We need to investigate this issue. As a very important extension has been recently updated, and {{CheckMissing}} makes an extensive use of that extension, it is likely something requiring a fix in {{CheckMissing}}.

Re: Errors and anomalies after update

Thank you for informing us about the problems. The login problem is a nasty one, occurring from time to time after MediaWiki version 1.27, where session information were moved to an object cache stored in the database. The mechanism is not very reliable, and it occasionally triggers, erroneously, th...

Re: Don't have permission to upload

Some time ago we were literally overwhelmed by spammers, so the registration process is a little bit garbled due to spam countermeasures. It is possible the something went wrong. Please login to the wiki, click on the "Preferences" label on the top-right side of the page, and check that yo...

Re: max_user_connections

I'm not sure whether this problem is caused by the tests that we are performing on the same server to upgrade the MediaWiki software to the newest versions, or by other causes (e.g. DOS attacks). As a matter of fact, the database server starts using an anomalous quantity of resources, with database ...

We also have a complete mirror of the Jennings website available on our servers: it was included in our routine backup of external websites.

Re: Multi-category searches for solo voice

The form is a Semantic MediaWiki form (now named Page Forms): https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Page_Forms governed by this page, which administrators can edit: https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Form:Multi-Category_Search In principle one may remove the parent category and just list the dau...

Re: Multi-category searches for solo voice

Categories in MediaWiki are not hierarchical: a page that is a member of a certain (sub)category (e.g., "solo voice") is not also automatically considered as a member of the parent category (e.g., "solo vocal music"). If a hierarchical behavio(u)r is desired, the page must be tag...

Re: Adding new composer

Thank you for willing to contribute! Templates are special pages that can be invoked within normal pages to automatically create or display recurring wiki code segments. Your composer page must be a normal page, not a template. So, you should create a normal page with your name, and then copy-and-pa...

Re: O lux beata Trinitas - Mendelssohn - typo ?.

In the Wikipedia page for Mendelssohn's vespers (onlly available in German): https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vespergesang_(Mendelssohn) they remark that Mendelssohn applied multiple text variations, supposedly intentional: From Psalm 119, verse 132, a Variant form of the Latin text has been adopted: (...
