private message question

I received an email stating that "Richardnuh" sent me a private message with the title отдых (recreation/relaxation/rest)
The private message was not on my inbox. Does anyone know about this?

Hi "Violino"
There's a Greek one you might like:
http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Apol ... olomons%29
It's called Apolytikion (a dismissal at the end of a service) and is based on the original Byzantine chant
Kind regards

Hi Philip
Yes it was offensive. (I won't bother trying to contact him through the messaging service since he is obviously hiding behind false email addresses and is therefore beneath contempt).
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards

message for Matthijs van de Kruk

Hi Matthijs I followed your idea (making an ATTB mass into an SATB one by transposing tenor 1 up an octave to make the soprano) and sent it to you but I received no reply. I assume the email service failed us at some point. Anyway, it's now on the "Modal Mass" page along with the original....

mildly curious about "Captain Nemo"

Shortly after putting up a piece on cpdl I got a nasty email relating to it from some individual calling himself Captain Nemo, hiding behind a non-existent email address which appears to have originated from Russia (despite having a German Yahoo fictitious address). I'm just curious to know whether ...

Adon Olam melody copyright question

I was delighted to see the Salamoni Rossi version of Adon Olam on CPDL. However, I have a question about another version, for which I have written variations. Can anyone tell me who the composer of this melody for Adon Olam is, and whether it is in the public domain. The melody is as follows: http:/...

broken links

Thank goodness for www.archive.org - I was able to retrieve the pdf of my "Madrigal of naivety", which, for some reason had gone missing in the course of my many moves of server and of computer. Two points arise - 1. If anyone happens to have saved the original correct Finale file (mine is...

mp3 question

I notice that each time I upload a score of music for which there is an mp3 available (eg as a free download from my own site) I have a place to enter the URL of the mp3, but when it all gets published on CPDL the link to the mp3 file is not shown. Are there plans to incorporate this? For the moment...

Winnie the Pooh - an "oratorio"

Hi All The Poohratorio is based on AA Milne's Winnie the Pooh and as such I received permission from the estate of AA Milne to distribute my recording of it among my friends but not to publish it to a wider public. Therefore, for seven days (up to the morning of June 2nd 2007) it is available to you...

Hi Ingvar Although it's liturgical piece rather than a concert piece, you might like my Simple Communion Service (or some of the movements): http://www.dwsolo.com/commu.htm (free download of scores) There is also a little motet (Hoc est enim) which my local choir managed, worth considering perhaps (...
