hi guyz..so glad to be here...it's nice to know that there are sites like this that i can thoroughly enjoy visiting...also a choir member in our place... :oops:

i was hoping that someone could assist me with something...im a choir member from the philippines..and we are planning to sing in our upcoming DECEMBER Fest...i was hoping you guyz could help me on the piece by morten lauridsen's o magnum mysterium...we actuall don't have a copy of the music..if anyone out there is heeding this message and considerate enough to lend us a single copy of this music, my choir would really really ( as in) be pleased...do reply you guyz :D

As you can see on http://www.mortenlauridsen.com the composer is still alive and his music is not in the public domain.

His beautiful motet is available at Peermusic and available through

I think you're rather missing the point here, in that most of us at CPDL would want Mr Lauridsen to be paid for his music. I'm not sure these forums are the right place to request illegal copies of music - in fact, I really think that such requests should be removed in the interests of the site's reputation and integrity. Anyone else?

I agree as well. Eventhough we are lucky to have access to "free" music through CPDL we need to make the effort of supporting contemporary composers. The piece is most definately amazing, but there are centuries of amazing music avalible through this cite. "stepping off my soapbox now"
