help - conducting a choir

Post by ebykm »

Can someone recommend resources/tips on this subject (possibly with pictures, clips, etc..) ?. Should i use both hands or just right ?.

Unfortunately I have to conduct a small choir next week :x, thankfully we don't have an orchestra, just Organ or Piano.

A quick search didn't reveal anything interesting, except this one, any other links would be helpful. Thanks

The reference you cite is mainly for (outdoor) conducting for marching bands and not really suitable for choral conducting. Here are a couple of much better links:

Conducting article at Wikipedia

Conducting course PDF file(s) from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
