How long does it take to post a new score?

Some time ago (months) I posted a score for one of my own compositions. Does anyone know about how long it takes for the score to appear on CPDL?

Hi John
First of all many thanks for your contribution to CPDL. The score submission procedure is largely automated, but the page creation itself is still a manual enterprise. It is taken up by volunteers and hence may take (quite) a while, depending on when people are available to tackle new pages.
Patience, as always, is a good virtue in these matters. If you received the automated confirmation email after you submitted, you can rest assured that your score will appear some time soon.

Regards

Joachim

Hi John, your composition is now available online: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Bene ... vid_Eaton)

It would be nice if you could also provide a PDF, otherwise access to your work will be restricted to the few people who happen to have Finale installed on their computers.

Also, please add some information about yourself on your composer page: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/John_David_Eaton

Thanks,

Carlos, I don't have a way of making a PDF file, I'm really sorry.

Hi John, you might like to download and install
http://www.pdfforge.org/
which is free, and will appear as a virtual pdf "printer" in the Print dialog box of any soft.

John, I use an application similar to that suggested by anaigeon, called pdfMachine:

http://www.pdfmachine.com/genp/pdfmachine_white.html

I don't know pdfforge enough to say which is better, but you may want to try both and decide for yourself.

And I use the virtual PDF printer PDF995 available from http://www.pdf995.com/download.html

And in case you have MacOS X, the built in print dialog has a "PDF" submenu, in which you can choose "Save as PDF". No additional software required.

Thanks to all of you who pointed me in the right direction for making PDF files. I succeeded in making one. Now I have to figure out how to upload it to join m Allegro file. Again, many thanks.

Hi John, you can use the following link to upload your pdf: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?titl ... abilis.pdf

Claude Tallet seems to already have uploaded a pdf for you in A4 format, but you may re-upload in Letter format if you prefer.

And now that you learned the trick, perhaps you could provide a pdf for your other edition too: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Regi ... e_Morales). Use this link for uploading new files: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Special:Upload

Very many thanks to Claude Tallet. I have acquired the necessary software to turn the Regina Coeli into a PDF file, so that will be uploaded shortly.

I just tried uploading the PDF for the Morales but I'm not sure if I got it right.

Yes, you did it right! :D A link to it was already added to the works page.

But now another issue has arisen: your Regina Coeli does not seem to be the same as the other two editions already on that page. We can simply split the page into two others: Regina Coeli I and Regina Coeli II. However, checking on the Grove Dictionary they cite only one "Regina caeli, laetare, 4vv" by Morales, besides one "Regina caeli, laetare, 5vv" and two "Regina caeli, laetare, 6vv". Could it be that you made an arrangement for 4 voices of one of the 5vv or 6vv works?
