Meredith Monk and pedagogical vocalization for children

At the last American Choral Directors Convention in Chicago, I was fascinated with Meredith Monk's work for the Young People's Chorus of New York City. The repetitive rhythms and playful textures made a hypnotic effect and I thought this could be a great way to practice vocal placement with nonsensical text of vowels and vocal production. Are there pieces like this for very inexperienced children's choirs? If not, are there people interested in composing them? The piece of Meredith Monk was entitled "Things" and can be seen and heard at Youtube clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWyHkPcMy9w
