New member question about approp. place for question

Post by Muckoy »

I am happy to learn about this resource! As a new member, I'm not sure where the following query should appear, so I need your help.

I'm looking to see if a score exists for a section of film music. Specifically, the choral mass with organ (Leonard Rosenman) that appears in "Beneath The Planet of the Apes." I've got to believe that somebody here must know something.

It would be a very weird, but impressive, encore piece (for example). But, in general, I'm just interested in seeing the music w/o having to lift from a recording. Does anyone here know if this is available, or where I would look?

Hi Muckoy, welcome to CPDL!
I took the liberty to move your topic to the Music Requests forum.
With relation to your request, I do remember the music, it was one of the best moments of the film. But since it's a work still under copyright, there's no chance to find it on CPDL until it enters the Public Domain (probably many decades ahead). Perhaps someone else can redirect you to a site where this score can be found for sale. Good luck in your search!
