I was puzzled as well as startled by the template-added Category:14-part choral music at http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?titl ... did=602865
This brings up a problem in categorizing masses, hymns, Magnificats and other multi-movement works that add a voice at the end and that New Grove lists as 4/5 vv (they often have an n-1 movement too).
n+1 voicing
Re: n+1 voicing
I don't remember very well how this template works, but it probably didn't recognize the middle slash and counted each character (including the slash and spaces) as a voice. I'll have a look at it later.Richard Mix wrote:I was puzzled as well as startled by the template-added Category:14-part choral music at http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?titl ... did=602865
For these more complex voicings there is the option of using template MultiVoicing.Richard Mix wrote:This brings up a problem in categorizing masses, hymns, Magnificats and other multi-movement works that add a voice at the end and that New Grove lists as 4/5 vv (they often have an n-1 movement too).
Re: n+1 voicing
I've converted it to MultiVoicing similar to http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/A_so ... onymous%29
