Proper way to tag Christmas/Advent music?

Post by pateceramics »

Is there a proper way to tag a piece as suitable for Christmas or Advent? I notice music is sorted into multiple categories in the "seasonal" section, but wasn't sure how to properly tag mine. It's currently listed as "sacred" and "carol." The title is "Ring out glad bells." And the text is below:

Ring out glad bells, send your sound o'er fields and fells.
Hallelujah!
Roar all leopards! Sweetly sing, ye shepherds,
ring out bells!
Hallelujah!
Feast and ponder how the wise men wander,
the wise men ring out bells.
Priest and peasant feast on goose and pheasant.
Ring out glad bells.
Hallelujah!

Definitely a holiday piece!
Cheers! -M. Furtak

(And apologies to anyone who listens to the midi, as opposed to the mp3 file. On my computer at least, the computer seems to be having an awful time interpreting the midi appropriately.)

Hi Maggie, seasonal categories as Christmas/Advent usually go at the end of the page. I've added them to your work as suggested.
