Re: File types for upload

Hi Max, file includes/MimeMagic.php also needs to be changed; the following lines were added to it:

Code: Select all

application/x-capella-music-notation cap

'cap3-v:a'         => 'application/x-capella-music-notation',
Gerd, you should be able to upload/update your files now; if not, please let us know.

Re: Filipe de Magalhães - Commissa Mea Pavesco

Maybe, after that,I can contribute here for cpdl with more portuguese polyphony. That's excellent news, Luís! When I was creating some pages for the Portuguese and Spanish cancioneiros/cancioneros, I noticed how difficult it is to find on the net the music related to these early editions. In some c...

Re: RISM - Chansons

I found a searchable list that shows the music titles and manuscript source, but not the RISM number:

http://www.rism.org.uk/search/quick?que ... td_title_d

Search for "chanson" and voilà!

Oh, that explains the weird dissonances on it! Thanks for the explanation.

Re: different Key!

Can anyone find the alleged edition of "Leave alas this tormenting" by Laura Conrad? I have checked her site http://www.laymusic.org/music/sp/html/bycomposer.html , but did not find it there. Indeed it is not listed on the page above, but if you use the site's search tool you'll locate it...

Re: Replacing my former edition

Your original files were probably uploaded before CPDL moved to the wiki platform, so they were hosted in a server called "Williams". These old files were migrated to the new server, but they are not managed by the Wiki server and therefore can not be updated via the standard Upload tool. ...

Re: how to do a boolean AND regarding categories?

Hi Vaarky, all parameters must be names of categories, and there's no such "Category:Michael Praetorius". But, these is a "Category:Michael Praetorius compositions" :) So, the following should work: {{MultiCatList|Michael Praetorius compositions|SATB}} This approach will only bri...

Re: The Pitch of Tudor Church Music

Hi Oriana,

I've just heard the three sample recordings you cited. Wow, what a difference in sonority! Listening to The Sixteen's version, when the high voices start singing their "Salva me" in G, it certainly made me thrill! Thank you for the valuable info.

Re: Main site: Another user unable to post at CPDL

I know the email verification thing never worked and understand it does not work now. The email verification "thing" does work now. All editors must have their email verified if they want to continue uploading/editing pages. This was a security measure necessary to block the majority of s...

Re: problem with uploading multiple movement score

Yes Thomas, I totally agree with you on this point. Duplication of information (that in IT we call "redundancy") is one of the primary causes of inconsistencies in any system. That's the case here at CPDL, because each time a new edition is added to a work page, the composer page has to be...
