Re: Adding a new lyricist page
Hi Maggie! In fact, both Plinies, the Elder (Gaius Plinius Secundus) and the Younger (Gaius Plinius Caecilius Secundus), were Secundus , so the current title is dubious and needs to be changed. I'll rename the page to Pliny the Elder, just as on Wikipedia, ok? Thanks for your contributions to the si...

I know it's too late for Rebecca, but it may be useful to others: I found a business card by Anne from April 2014 with contact information that may be still valid:

Re: Composer versus arranger for parodies
Hallo Christoph, Following CPDL conventions, the composer of the original melody would be dropped, but I wonder whether it is possible to add an entry field "Melody" below "Composer". I'd opt for adding some text to the Description: line, explaining that that setting was based on...

There is a scanned Novello edition at IMSLP which looks much better:

Re: Translation versus paraphrase
Hi Barry, Indeed, there are lots of paraphrases currently labeled as "translations" on CPDL. There are also texts with literal and less-literal translations (but not to the point of being a paraphrase, I guess). I agree with you that maybe it's not worth to indicate these nuances via diffe...

Re: No link to pdf download
Hello Thank you for informing us of this problem. The website that contains Abel Di Marco's works went through a layout change and the links from CPDL had not been updated. You should be able to find his Lux aeterna now, but be warned that this is a modern composition by Di Marco himself, not the wo...

Re: Listing two unrelated pieces w/same title on same page
The link was corrected, you can see the changes here.
Instead of letters, you may prefer to differentiate your Psalms by lyricist name: Psaml 1 (Watts) and Psalm 1 (Webber), for instance.

Re: Listing two unrelated pieces w/same title on same page
How do I get the info and files for CPDL#29428 to show up ONLY under "Shape Notes and Psalter" and CPDL#42618 to show up ONLY under "Christopher L. Webber hymns"? Can this be done without changing the title which shows up in the main CPDL listings as "Psalm 1 (Thurlow Weed)...

Re: Lyricist pages: LyricistSettingsList
Hi Barry,
Automated lists are fine, but I'm OK with a couple of exceptions.
I've seen your draft of the Isaac Watts page and it looks very good. I think your idea is worth a try. Would you like to create the new template yourself, or would you prefer me to do it?

Re: Lyricist pages: LyricistSettingsList
Hi Barry, I'm not sure I understood your proposal. Creation of TextAutoList was necessary because people didn't want to shift to TextSettingsList , which would make Text pages completely automated. So now, they are maintained by hand, and TextAutoList just helps us to know which works are left out o...
