Instead of letters, you may prefer to differentiate your Psalms by lyricist name: Psaml 1 (Watts) and Psalm 1 (Webber), for instance.

Re: Listing two unrelated pieces w/same title on same page
How do I get the info and files for CPDL#29428 to show up ONLY under "Shape Notes and Psalter" and CPDL#42618 to show up ONLY under "Christopher L. Webber hymns"? Can this be done without changing the title which shows up in the main CPDL listings as "Psalm 1 (Thurlow Weed)...

Re: Lyricist pages: LyricistSettingsList
Hi Barry,
Automated lists are fine, but I'm OK with a couple of exceptions.
I've seen your draft of the Isaac Watts page and it looks very good. I think your idea is worth a try. Would you like to create the new template yourself, or would you prefer me to do it?

Re: Lyricist pages: LyricistSettingsList
Hi Barry, I'm not sure I understood your proposal. Creation of TextAutoList was necessary because people didn't want to shift to TextSettingsList , which would make Text pages completely automated. So now, they are maintained by hand, and TextAutoList just helps us to know which works are left out o...

Re: Aleotti sisters
That's fine! I agree that that's the best approach for now. The difference in style seems to be striking, indeed.

Re: Aleotti sisters
Oh well, things are not so simple as they seem: the German Wikipedia article counter arguments saying that Raffaella was the name Vittoria took when she entered the monastery at fourteen. They probably based their article on the Grove's entry on Vittoria, that reads: "(b Ferrara, c1575; d after...

Re: Aleotti sisters
The English Wikipedia article gives enough arguments in favor of the thesis that they were two different people. I'd suggest creating a new page for Raffaella (please note the spelling used by Grove, we should stick to it). It's always easier to eventually merge the two pages than to split a single ...

Oh, I see. So that's what you meant by "arrangement". Sorry for not being able to help with this.

Hello Alfredo, Charles Shunk was one of the first contributors to CPDL, submitting his first editions around 17 years ago. But he never created an account on the new wiki platform, and therefore cannot be contacted by leaving a message on his talk page there. If you look at the page of this work, yo...

Could Born: and Died: templates also replace [[Category:unknown Births &c? Hi Richard. Regarding your suggestion above, I was thinking of a broader solution: a Biographic template that would encompass all personal data and make the proper categorizations. In fact such template already exists, i...

Hello Malcolm, welcome to CPDL! It has not been your fault; one of the admins noticed the broken link and changed it to link to the only file you had uploaded so far. I have undone his action. So now, please go again to the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis page, click on the red link Childrey Service ma...

Hi Edewede!
Sorry, I gave you the wrong information: the correct category to be added is [[Category:Women composers]], as you have already figured out.
Once again, welcome to CPDL and thanks for sharing your music with us.

Re: HOW? Listing by Surname/Firstname AND adding a composer to the 'Female Composers' list
Hi Dhaivid, First of all, could you please let us know what is your composer name at CPDL? 1. CPDL follows the GivenName(s) Surname convention in page titles, lists and categories, but they are always sorted by surname, not by given name. So, what you described is the expected behaviour. 2. Just edi...

Re: Increasing universal access to CPDL via MusicXML
I think next step should be converting the PDF-and-MP3-and-Sibelius (or Finale) editions, because MP3 isn't an interchange format. What do you think? Hi Claude, the increasing number of editions with MusicXML source is a good news! Regarding the MP3 files, I guess that editors upload them in order ...
