Re: Downloading Sibelius files

I've had the same problem with Capella files. It does seem to be an issue with Google Chrome, since I didn't have the problem using Microsoft Edge. I needed to use "save link as", rather than downloading it directly though.

Re: Haydn's Insanae et Vanae curae

I'm abroad at the moment, so don't have access to my source. However, looking at the other edition of this work, it seems likely that this is an error, so I have corrected it and uploaded revised files. Thanks for spotting it.~~~~

Henry Walford Davies

Walford Davies died on 11th March 1940. His works are therefore out of British copyright (70 years) and (I think) out of copyright in other EU countries. I think the copyright proviso can be safely removed, unless there are countries with a longer period of protection. (Typographical copyright is on...

Henry Ley

I notice that there is no copyright warning on the Henry Ley page. Although US copyright has probably expired, my understanding of EU copyright is that it extends for 70 years after a composer's death. Since Ley did not die till 1962, we are well within the copyright period for anyone who downloads ...

Instructions for adding a new composer

While these are easy to follow, I noticed that "Renaissance" has been left out fo the list of Eras.

Thanks, Chuck. I'll avoid punctuation in file names in future. James Gibb

Music files apparently not linked

I've uploaded a couple of John Bacchus Dykes hymns, but the music files appear not to have been linked to. They appear in [] on both the composer page and the works page and the composer page did not ask me to do the "sum" when I saved it. Don't think I've done anything different from befo...

In monte Oliveti - Croce

I've noticed a couple of (minor) errors in the Macchi version of this (#1330): promtus for promptus in all four parts (bar 17) and an overextended bracket in the tenor (bars 24-26) However, I'm not sure how I indicate this to other users. Is this something best left to the editors, or should a bold ...

Haydn Creation

It would be helpful if this could be tidied up, since it is not immediately clear whether new movements should be added as a new page, or added to the page for the complete work (which would seem more sensible). There is a page for the whole work, which now has six movements on it. However, a couple...

Martin Peerson

I've added a work by this composer recently, but the composer is still sitting in unhosted composers. Do I have to do anything to move him, or will it happen without any action by me?
