George Dyson Evening Service in D

Apparently this should not have been posted, although the score is signed "Dresden,1907". A representative of Stainer & Bell has requested that it be removed.

The score was added to CPDL this week in its original key, along with a few other Baristow anthems.

Re: Morales/Gregorian chant: Ne recorderis

The complete chant is found in the Liber Usualis on pp. 1792-1793, notated in Gregorian neumes. I can reproduce or modernize it if you like.

Re: plainchant/gregorian score of Veni, veni Emmanuel

It is not difficult to create a neumatic version of the score yourself, although most conventional notation programs are not equipped to do so. There is a freeware program Grégoire available from http://gregoire.tele.free.fr/. It is supplied by the monks of Selemne and produces a .bmp file which can...

Posting multipart works

I have uploaded 22 Sibelius files and their PDF's. They are all parts of the same work -- Matthäuspassion by Heinrich Schütz. The Add Works forms seem to accept only one PDF or notation file per submission. How are such submissions entered via the Add Works forms? I have added the WIKI code manually...

Re: men's choir and solo - repertoire

Hello

I have posted a piece by Schubert which is scored for four-part men's chorus and alto solo. The text is
Zögernd leise
. See if you think it useful.

One should also notice the interesting counter melody in the organ accompaniment of the same section.

Re: How good is Welsey's Blessed be the God and Father?

I think it is interesting to note that one of Wesley's most significant pupils was Arthur Sullivan and to compare the dialogue at "Love on another . . . " with similar dialogues in Sullivan's operettas.

Uploading scores

I have recently uploaded three scores as Sibelius 4 files. Each time the system responded with a warning that the files may contain malicious code. I am quite sure that they do not. Wherefore the warning? :?:
