Re: Can I search for SSA a cappella scores only?

Yes. You can use the Multi-Category Search feature on the left side of the CPDL site. It allows you to select restrictions for search results which include a cappella and specific voicing such as SSA and all sorts of other search categories. Please post here if you encounter any issues in trying it.

database of Choral Music by Women Composers

I stumbled across this resource and wanted to share the link here. I hope people find it useful and/or can spread the word so more composers can be added. If people know of other resources that list contemporary female composers or composers by other categorizations, please share resources here. We ...

Re: https://cpdl.org

At some point, can we search programmatically for pages with hard-coded http:// links and auto-replace them?

Re: Strange experience on CPDL

Should the default be changed to send e-mail notification by default and people can turn it off if they prefer? I think e-mail notification is what users posting in the forums would expect.

Re: Upload Limit

Are there other ways we could recognize and/or encourage scores of high quality, without the risk of a rating system discouraging people from contributing editions that have errors since these are nonetheless valuable?

Re: PDF previews on composition page

Thanks! I liked the revised format, even if we can't find a way to toggle previews off or if it's not worth the effort with this new format. Feedback from others on this hybrid interface approach?

Re: PDF previews on composition page

Thank you for the improvement suggestion. I personally value the less cluttered old way, which requires paging down less, but like the ability to see the previews. Would it be possible to have either (a) the editions listed at the top, kind of like a concise table of contents the way it appears now,...

Does using the search and preview option at SheetMusicPlus help locate the edition?

Re: H. Alexander Matthews: The City of God

One more possibility: if you wanted to try to borrow the scores, it would be worth searching to find out what choirs have performed the piece, and then asking if they are willing to sell or lend the scores.

Re: Good Websites with MusicXML-files?

Sorry I don't know of any sites. You could try CPDL.org's own search function to search on musicXML: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?search=musicxml&title=Special%3ASearch&go=Go The scores are free and most have lyrics, but you would still need to evaluate the results to determine if they...
