Re: MultiPubList changed?

This problem has been corrected.
It had to do with lack of Template:PubDatePlace on the page.

Re: Search two words

For what it's worth, I find the search option within standard search engines to be helpful when doing comprehensive searches. That is, I type "CPDL" into the search bar of Google (or Bing or Yahoo or …). Then "search within"; for most of them, if you put your two or three words in quotes, it will fi...

Re: New edition mess-up

This has happened to me, and it has to do with auto-complete on my browser. When I begin entering my e-mail, if I choose the auto-complete option, it changes Composer to my name! Either change auto-complete settings, or manually type the fields. In any case, I deleted the composer "Simon". Your new ...

Re: Unusual row format in output of Template MultiPubList

I have implemented template Volumes on this page so there are no empty lines. (Needed to revise MultiPubList a little to accommodate works with the same title in different parts.)
Hope I got this correct, and it meets your needs. Let me know.
Thanks for your patience.

Re: Unusual row format in output of Template MultiPubList

This empty line is caused by two Pub entries for the same publication on the page https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Wie_soll_ich_Dich_empfangen_(Melchior_Teschner) . Perhaps this would be better using template Volumes to separate them, since you want the output in volume order. Do you want me to m...

Re: Multiple-part upload

I propose to change this to a publication page, rather than a work page. Then the individual works in the publication can be listed and linked to their composers.

Re: Problem with Template MultiPubList

I have fixed the problem. It was in the code for MultiPubList; the publication page was correctly formatted.
Please let me know on this forum (or barky5 at earthlink.net) if you see other problems with MultiPubList.
Thank for your patience.

Proposed reform of Orlando di Lasso page(s)

I have been working for some time to try to put the works of Orlando di Lasso into order by publication date. I still have a little cleanup to do, but I want to present the idea. First is this page , which is an updated list of publications, already at the bottom of the composer page. Second is this...

Re: Composer versus arranger for parodies

I guess you are using the term "parody" in its serious sense? (I don't use it in that sense, though.) If so, then the discussion might include psalm-tunes harmonized (or re-harmonized) by Thomas Ravenscroft, John Dowland, Thomas Tallis, and others. And there are many, many cases in early American mu...

Re: Translation versus paraphrase

Thanks, Carlos.
I have changed Template.Paraphrase on the text page to Template.Translation, and marked the template and category for deletion, as you suggested.
