Re: Mysterious behaviour of Add New Work
I'd just come in to report the same thing. Having found this thread, I've just gone and taken all the direct links off my own composer page.

Re: Modern vs Contemporary
I prefer the definite chronological statement of "Early 20th Century", but do agree that the time period currently labelled "modern" could beneficially be divided. Maybe "Mid 20th Century" for the second, then "Contemporary" - with that last being retained in ...

Re: Feedback on the new 'Add work' mechanism
My proposal is to use the "ext..." icons also in the case of shallow linking, so that the user is also informed about the file type(s) supposedly available on the external website. But then I'll click the link, thinking it'll take me straight to a PDF, and I'll find a list instead; and th...

Re: Automated additions procedure
I remembered an oldish piece of my own I hadn't uploaded, so thought I'd give it another go. It must be personal, the same thing happened again. (#30488)

Re: Automated additions procedure
Yes, got it now, sorry.
Most odd, but I'm glad it's gone through. I don't expect it'll be long before I have occasion to try again

Re: Automated additions procedure
Now I have another e-mail, with all the details but a different number, 23452, which must surely have been assigned long ago as the numbers currently being issued are above 30,000. Still nothing on the pages, though.

Automated additions procedure
I just attempted to add an edition of Tallis's Short Evening Service using the automated procedure; a number was generated (30472) but no data; the {{recent additions}} template appeared on the composer page but nothing else; the page history for the work page shows two blank lines added. (1) I dedu...

Re: Gregorian Intonations in the Mass
Origins - the easy bit! In a purely chanted service, every item is intoned by somebody, it's an easy way of making sure everybody sings the same piece in the same "key"! The Gloria and Credo, being regarded as particularly important texts in the mass, are intoned by the celebrant, and this...

Re: thumbnail on Facebook etc.
It so happens that I posted a link on Facebook about half an hour before looking at this thread; I can confirm that the NotePerfect ad is still the default selection.

Re: Mensural notation oddity
Thank you, and to all of you who've chipped in. I'm about half way though the set, so hopefully you'll be able to critique the finished product in the not too distant future!

Re: Mensural notation oddity
Here's one: http://daten.digitale-sammlungen.de/~db/0007/bsb00079138/image_73 In the lower part on the page (T of SATB), before the first double bar, end of the word Prophetae. More often the interval is a third, although a fifth here; they're always at the double bar as here. Treating it as a risin...

Mensural notation oddity
I'm looking at a Lassus manuscript choirbook (digitised by the Bayerisch Staatsbibliothek). I should say that this is my first venture into mensural notation, and while I'm doing fine with most of it, there's one feature which I can't find described in any online source. At the end of a section, ins...
